The bar chart compares seven countries in terms of the yearly salary for doctors and employees in other professions in 2004, measured in thousands of US dollars.
Overall, doctors in North America earned by far the highest salary, as compared to doctors in the other countries. It is also noticeable the annual pay of doctors was much higher than that of other workers in any particular country, especially in the US.
Doctors working in the US earned the highest yearly pay of $US 120,000, as apposed to that of doctors in Finland with only around $US 50,000. Doctors in France and Switzerland were on par in terms of annual salary, earning about $US 70,000 every year. Doctors in Italy, Czech Republic and Germany were paid approximately $US 60,000 annually.
It is clear that the annual wages of employees working in other areas in the US and Switzerland were the highest with nearly $US 45,000 and $US 40,000 respectively. Workers in France and Finland were paid around $US 25,000 and $US 23,000 respectively. The annual salary of $US 20,000 can be seen in workers in Italy, Czech Republic and Germany.
