The diagram illustrates how the cutting instruments in the Stone Age evolved between 1.4 million to 0.8 million years ago.
Overall, it is clear that Tool B is sharper and more clearly shaped than the earlier Tool A. Over the period of 0.6 million years, the cutting tool also grew in size and effectiveness.
Regarding the front view, it shows that Tool A is in an irregular shape, whereas Tool B has a water drop design with a broad base and a pointy top. Also, the edges of Tool A is rough, revealing the fact that it is in the earlier stage of development. In contrast, Tool B has smooth edges, and therefore is more effective as cutting equipment.
The side view demonstrates another significant difference between the two tools, in which Tool A is irregular while Tool has a more regular, flattened shape with a sharp pointed end. The design of Tool B is definitely to cut objects more cleanly and easily. Finally, the back view shows that Tool B is much larger and and less rougher than Tool A
