The diagram illustrates the different stages involved in the life cycle of a frog.
Overall, tadpoles, which emerge from eggs in the water, pass through a number of phases before going on to land and maturing into adult frogs.
Looking at the first stage of the frog’s life cycle, the eggs develop into embryos which later turn into tadpoles. The step after this is the gradual growth of the tadpole in which its body enlarges and the tail becomes longer. Over time, the front legs breakthrough, following with the start of pulmonary breathing to prepare for the future life on land. After the tadpole’s body increased in size and moved onto land, it grows up into a young frog with a small tail. The final stage of the cycle is when the tadpole frog matures into an adult one with bigger body size, a wider mouth, bigger legs and its tail reduced.
