Who usually does the housework in your family?
All members in my family share the housework. My mother usually does most of the cooking while cleaning is normally my father’s duty. My brother and I are responsible for other chores such as doing the laundry and the washing-up. But it also depends on who is busier.

Do you like doing housework?
Frankly speaking, I’m not really into it. But household chores have become a part of my daily routine. It is a way of showing that I am responsible as well for matters of family because more people helping towards housework means less burden on a single individual.

I have to admit that cleaning my room is my pet peeve. However, I have to do it every now and then as my mother always grumbles to me about how messy my room is. I don’t mind organizing my things but I prefer if someone else does the actual cleaning.

What do you think is the most important household task?
I believe doing the washing-up is essential and a clean kitchen should be an integral part of any homemakers. After all, kitchen is the place where we prepare meals and sometimes have snacks. It doesn’t take long before a kitchen can go from cluttered to dirty. That’s why I think it’s important to wash up in order to avoid harmful bacteria.
